General pathology: Manifestations of inflammatory rheumatic diseases in the musculoskeletal system. Extra-articular manifestations of rheumatic diseases. Introductory lecture: Subject. Methods. Necrosis. Apoptosis. Thanatology. Adaptation of tissues and organs. Dystrophy. Pathology of inflammation. Non-specific inflammation. Granulomatous inflammation. Immunopathologic disorders. Circulatory disorders. Pathology of the cardiovascular system. General onkology I., General onkology II., Hematooncology. Lymphoproliferatif and myeloprogyreative diseases. Diseases of the bones and joints. Pathology of peripheral nerves. Contemporary diagnostic methods in pathology.

Learning outcomes
|
The course builds on the knowledge of anatomy and physiology. It is part of the basic subjects and its mastering allows to study other professional subjects. It introduces students to the pathology of tissues, organs and organ systems. The course has the theoretical and practical structure. It provides students with general knowledge about the pathological processes taking place in the individual tissues, organs, organ systems and the body and provides them with a comprehensive picture of disease by linking interdisciplinary information from causes to consequences. It is divided into general and special (systemic) pathology. General pathology provides an overview of what is common and essential to disease units. Special pathology deals with a detailed explanation of the manifestations of disease units organized by organ systems. The special attention is given to the musculoskeletal system.
Student will be able to use and understand terminology correctly, will be familiar with morphological and functional changes of tissues, organs and organ systems with an emphasis on the frequency of diseases. He will understand the causes and consequences of diseases, know the dynamics of changes associated with the development of the disease and therapeutic interventions.
