Learning outcomes
Human physiology is a scientific discipline focused on the functions of the healthy human organism at the cellular, tissue and organ-system levels. It explains the principles of regulation, coordination and integration of physiological processes that ensure the maintenance of internal stability (homeostasis). The course provides students with essential theoretical knowledge necessary for understanding the function of major organ systems and their interactions. Emphasis is placed on physiological mechanisms relevant to the field of physiotherapy, particularly those related to movement, neuromuscular control, adaptation to physical load, and functional performance. The acquired knowledge serves as a foundation for subsequent clinical and professionally oriented subjects within the study programme.
Students should acquire the basic theoretical as well as practical knowledge necessary for understanding of normal functions of organs and systems, their relations, and how they are controlled.
Prerequisites
unspecified

Assessment methods and criteria
unspecified
Successful completion of the course requires active attendance in seminars and practical training sessions as specified by the study plan. The course is completed by a written test.
