Course content
Building law - subject of legal regulation, sources of law, development of regulation. Town and country planning - aims and tasks. Organization of public administration in the sector of town and country planning and matters of building regulation. Planning permission proceedings. Building Code. Self-government in town and country planning and building matters.

Learning outcomes
Public construction law is one of the key areas of legal regulation in individual sections of the public administration (administrative law - special section). It includes both the issue of spatial planning, including decisions territory and building code and related aspects (expropriation, protection of special public interest, ...). Teaching Clinic is linked to the theoretical background of the previous administrative law disciplines, including the basics of construction law. In the clinic, students learn practical methods of teaching with this issue more deeply, strengthen and deepen their theoretical knowledge, to extend the knowledge of current case law and in particular the practical skills useful not only in this area. The subject innovation has been supported by the project Support of Interdisciplinary studies and Study Programmes Innovations at Palacký University in Olomouc, CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0091.
Students who have completed this course will be able to conduct administrative proceedings under the Building Act in the position of the administrative authority or to defend individuals' rights in the position of their representative.
Prerequisites
Completion of this course is not conditional upon completion of any other course.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance

Active participation at seminars, homework, preparing and giving homework on a seminar topic, knowledge of the topics taught in the course. The student is required to work with the learning objects, which have been created for the concrete subject and are available for authorized students in LMS EDIS.
