Learning outcomes
"Customs and customs 2" is focusing on international customs cooperation and the activities of the Customs Administration of the Czech Republic under international conventions. The aim is to show the width issue burdened by the service performance of the customs authorities in the fight against international smuggling, especially the fight against narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, trafficking in military equipment, illicit trafficking in protected species of animals and plants, the fight against harming the rights and protection of industrial property, fight against smuggling of cultural property. For this purpose, it is pointed out the important factor of international cooperation between customs administrations of the different countries of the World Customs Organisation. It explained the organization of international cooperation in the prevention, investigation and combating of customs offenses in the framework of mutual administrative assistance. From the perspective of a single effective customs control system is explained uniform description and coding the harmonized system nomenclature and the Combined Nomenclature of the EU. Are clarified and international measures to enable effective customs control at the international carriage of goods by all modes of transport.
Students attending this course will understand the broader context of the activities of customs authorities in the framework of international cooperation of customs administrations in the implementation of international conventions to which it is a member of the EU, both in the international fight against smuggling and international protection of the cultural heritage of mankind throughout the world. In addition to theoretical knowledge, students will get practical experience of international recognition of customs, shipping and transport documents and international certificates of origin, including their special use, processing and filling.
