Learning outcomes
The communicative goal is to create a level of social German language proficiency that the learners can use in their profession. The educational objective aims primarily at expanding the students' knowledge with knowledge related to their profession and field of study. The teaching builds on, develops and deepens the knowledge acquired in primary and secondary school. Learners learn to use a foreign language for their own self-education and for the needs of practice. The teaching methods contribute to the cultivation of students' expressive abilities, the formation of habits of independent work and academic skills. The main aim of the course is to break down the language barrier, to develop communication skills in German, to develop the ability to argue and to engage actively in discussion, to expand vocabulary in relation to the topics discussed and to work with professional texts. The thematic areas and texts are focused on the field of study.
