Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course VCJ/ATPE1 is to develop language, communication and presentation skills. This course focuses on selected topics from the field of environmental ecology. It includes basic terminology and phraseology related to the topics and emphasizes presenting the topic to an audience (word choice and grammatical structures, stress, intonation, non-verbal communication, etc.) It develops language skills at the B2 level. Language skills are developed at the B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Prerequisites
|
Students must have a minimum language level in English of level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). A very good knowledge of grammar is expected since grammar is not taught in the course. Assessment methods and criteria
|
Written exam
Students are required to attend the classes although they may be absent twice per semester and they must participate in an active way. They must prepare for the classes as required by their teachers, including completing tasks in the learning course in MS Teams and learning vocabulary. They must successfully pass the ungraded exam.
