The aim of the course is to introduce the importance and ways of classification of technical compensatory aids for people with a disability. They play an irreplaceable role in the life of these people and contribute to some extent to elimination of the negative impacts of the individual physical, perceptive or other disorders or impairments. After successful completion of the course, students should be able to explain the importance of technical compensatory aids for people with a disability, be aware of the individual ways of classification of technical compensatory aids, know the basic types of aids according to the type of disability, and be acquainted with the basic procedure a person with a disability needs to undergo to receive a compensatory aid. Syllabus: " The importance and classification of compensatory aids for people with a disability. " Availability and allocation of compensatory aids for people with a disability. " Technical compensatory aids for people with hearing impairment. " Technical compensatory aids for people with visual impairment. " Technical compensatory aids for people with limited mobility.
