Course content
Introduction to oral, maxillary and facial oncology. Benign tumors - diagnostic and therapy. Preblastomatosis - diagnostic, therapy. Malignant epithelial tumors (lip, tongue, sum of the oral cavity) - diagnostic, therapy. Malignant epithelial tumors (middle face space, facial skin) - diagnostic, therapy. Malignant mesenchymal tumors, hemoblastosis (leukemia). Pathological anatomy, clinic and therapy. Odontogenic tumors. Tumors of the salivary glands - diagnostic, therapy. Oncologic prevention an dispensarisation (follow up) in dentistry.

Learning outcomes
Introduction to oral and maxillofacial onkology, benign tumors, malignant epithelial tumors, malignant mesenchymal tumors, odontogenic tumors, tumors of the salivary glands, oncologic prevention and dispenzarization (follow-up) in dentistry.
Knowledge of dental instrumentations, technique of anaesthetic application, surgical suture technique. Extraction under the supervision of the teacher. Solving simple extraction and postextraction complications. Orientation in issue of orofacial area tumors.
Prerequisites
History, clinical examination of patient, knowledge of dental instrumentations, technique of anaesthetic application and extraction under the supervision of the teacher.

Assessment methods and criteria
Systematic Observation of Student

Prerequisites for successful completion is 100% participation in practical training, theoretical knowledge of requested topics, application of local anaesthesia, management of tooth extractions incl. possible complications, performance of requested practical procedures.
