Lecture Topics: 1. Introduction to the labour law. Legal regulation of labour relations. Fundamental principles of labour law. Legal regulation of labour relations. Individual labour law. Collective labour law. 2. Employment relationship, its characteristic points, legal status of employees and employers. Legal obligations of the parties of employment relation. Agreement to work outside the scope of employment. 3. Service relationship. 4. Legal obligations of the parties of employment relation. Legal basis of the creation of the employment relation. Employment contract. Employment contract and employment relationship. Employment contract - content. Appointment. 5. Changes of employment contract and change of employment relationship. 6. Termination of employment relationship. 7. Working hours. Length of working hours, distribution of the working hours. The breaks in the work. Holiday. 8. Remuneration of work. Wages and salaries. Legal minimum pay. Guaranteed pay. Validity of pay. 9. Employment policy of the state. Labour services. State control. 10. Liability and compensation of damages. Prevention and liability in the labour law. 11. Duties of the employee for damages. 12. Duties of the employer for damages. Learning outcomes
Course Labour Law covers mainly the problematic of relations between employers and employees. It is focused on the topics like discipline in work, conditions of work and employment relationship, and claims of the parties of employment relationship. The content of the course will be also institutions of working period, time for rest, remuneration, obstacles to work, responsibility for damages and their reparation etc. The course includes also topics of collective labour law and legal aspects of employment policy.
Students who have completed this course will gain their knowledge in the field of labour law particularly in the field of individual labour law. They will be able to use this theoretical background in the field of practical application of law.

It is essential that those students who would like to get the credit must have attendance within the scope set by the seminar teacher and they also must succeed in final oral exam.
