Course content
1. Civil procedural law - introduction, structure of the Austrian judicial system, basic concepts, jurisdiction 2. Civil procedural law - the order of the court, the procedure for the extradition, the action for payment of the proceedings in the first stage 3. Civil procedural law - other types of actions, evidence, oral hearing 4. Civil procedural law - simulation of oral hearing before a court of the first instance 5. Civil procedural law - appeals, appelate procedure 6. Civil Substantive Law - Introduction, basic concepts, ABGB Structure 7. Civil Substantive Law - real rights - ownership, possession 8. Civil Substantive Law - iura in re aliena 9. Civil Substantive Law - inheritance law 10. Civil Substantive Law - Law of Obligation - general part 11. Civil Substantive Law - Law of Obligation - Purchase Contract, Contract for Work 12. Final seminar, test and evaluation

Learning outcomes
The course focuses on the basic institutes of Austrian law, the aim of the subject is to teach the students legal German language when solving specific practical situations and cases. During the course the students will learn about selected Austrian institutes of civil procedural law of and civil substantive law (eg. in the field of property rights, inheritance law, law of obligations).
Students will be acquainted with selected institutes of Austrian law, they will learn legal German language when solving practical case studies.
Prerequisites
good knowledge of German language, willingness to actively participate on the seminars.
