Course content
The main topics of the first semester are as follows: - Concept of civil procedure, its types, sources of civil procedural law, basic principles of civil procedure. - Procedural subjects, jurisdiction and competence of courts, status of parties - Procedural acts of the court and parties, procedural relations - Conciliation and security proceedings - Procedure at first instance in general, commencement of proceedings and their effects, action, its elements and types, disposition acts of the parties, preparation of the hearing, hearing, evidence, court decision, its legal force and enforceability

Learning outcomes
Civil procedure provides basic knowledge of the legal regulation of the procedure of courts and other procedural entities in providing protection to private law relationships. It is divided into three semesters, with the first semester focusing on the general part of civil procedural law and the regulation of litigation in the first instance. The main topics of the first semester are as follows: - The concept of civil procedure, its types, sources of civil procedural law, basic principles of civil procedure - Procedural subjects, jurisdiction and competence of courts, status of parties - Procedural acts of the court and parties, procedural relations - Conciliation and security proceedings - Procedure at first instance in general, commencement of proceedings and their effects, action, its elements and types, disposition acts of the parties, preparation of the hearing, hearing, evidence, court decision, its legal force and enforceability After completing the first semester, the student has information about civil procedural law as a branch of the Czech legal system. He is also acquainted in detail with the course of proceedings in the first instance, not only on the theoretical level, but also to a significant extent on the practical level. An important skill that the student acquires after completing the course is the ability to draft a statement of claim as a basic procedural act of the plaintiff in civil court proceedings.
After completing the first semester, the student has information about civil procedural law as a branch of the Czech legal system. The student is also acquainted in detail with the course of proceedings in the first instance, not only on the theoretical level, but also to a significant extent on the practical level. An important skill that the student acquires after completing the course is the ability to draft a statement of claim as a basic procedural act of the plaintiff in civil court proceedings. In addition, the student is introduced to what a court hearing and a court decision looks like
