Types of management 6. Managerial positions 7. Planning and organisation 8. Decision-making and leadership 9. HR management in healthcare and checking 10. Motivation 11. Time management 12. Delegation of powers 13. Strategic planning in healthcare including analysis (PEST, SWOT)

Learning outcomes
After completion of the course, the students will have an overview of managerial styles and the functioning of a healthcare institution with regard to the hierarchical structure, size and type. The student will know about different managerial positions and will be able to apply selected techniques in practice. Students will learn about the personal requirements for a manager, will acquire effective work management, time management and delegation of powers.
After completion, students will be able to apply theoretical knowledge into managerial practice, distinguish different management levels and styles, understand the role of management in a healthcare institution.
