Course content
1. International classification of diseases and functional abilities and disabilities, basic concepts (short-term, long-term illness) 2. Insurance systems, organization and implementation of social security within the Framework of the Czech Social Security Administration 3. Non-insurance systems, organization and implementation of social security within the framework of the competition of the Labor Office 4. Procedure for applying for a social security benefit by a citizen, course of action, outcome, remedies 5. Assessment of health status for temporary incapacity for work, impact on patient and society, cooperation between sickness insurance institutions and health service providers, practical presentation of related forms 6. Health assessment for disability - health, social, economic, legal, social, work impact, practical demonstrations of assessment 7. Assessment of health status for the purpose of social security benefits in the area of so-called non-insurance systems - care allowance (determination of degree of dependence), disabled personś card, contribution to special help. 8. Statistical information from the social security sphere and financial difficulty of paying benefits. 9. Model situations on chosen topics with active student involvement.

Learning outcomes
The subject is conceived as a theoretical, it is based on medical practice and the basic aim of the subject is to introduce students to the framework procedures and access to persons who are assessed in the field of social security benefits. Students will get an overview of these benefits, which are tied to the assessment of the state of health, including the presentation of related legislation. Students will be presented with a system of classification of diseases and will receive information on the form of documentation that is related to the assessment of health status in social benefits in the change of the mediacal assessment service and about statistical data in the area of sickness, pension and non-insurance systems and will get a framework idea of the financial difficulty of benefits paid.
The student will be able to focus on both insurance and non-insurance social security systems. Understand the principles of health assessment and will be able to solve model situations

Mark, Oral exam, Written exam, Dialog, Systematic Observation of Student

Active involvement in contact hours, ability to solve model situations, attendance. Presentation of a model case solution (group, individual). Knowledge verification - test.
