Course content
1. Psychological burden related to healthcare profession. 2. Psychological hygiene and its development 3. Psychology of health and its relationship to psychological hygiene 4. Categories of health, normality, and adaptation 5. Healthcare education and prevention 6. Performance, ability to work, exhausion and monotony, rest, sleep, adjustment of working environment, time-management 7. Performance course (biorythms), shift-work in health care 8. Stress and burden, theory and concept of stress and coping 9. Relaxation techniques (autogenic training, Jacobson´s progressive relaxation) 10. Burnout syndrome in health care (prevention and intervention) 11. Social-psychological problems of psychological hygiene 12. Possibilities and restriction of the so-called healthy life-style, concept of "healthy personality")

Learning outcomes
Students are acquainted with different ways of study of human existence and its social contect. Students understand extent of social-psychological knowledge that includes different theoretical grounds and individual methodological approaches.
Students are acquainted with individual types and causes of psychological burden, ways of adaptation and prevention of psychological burden.

Practical assignments based on individual topics and related to a specific occupation. Oral presentation and its defence.
