Course content
Midwife will perform the following tasks: CPR of a child over 10 years old (or model) - Preparing a sterile table for an aseptic procedure - Airway clearance with closed suction system - Airway clearance with open suction system - Clearing the airway without tools - Clearing the airway using the laryngeal mask (possibly on the model) - Assistance in providing airway through the endotracheal cannula - Clearing the airway using the endotracheal cannula (model) - Ventilation of the patient using a bag valve mask on the model - Ventilation of the patient using a bag valve mask - Preparation of instrumentation for general anaesthesia - Preparation and assistance for general anaesthesia - Regional anaesthesia preparation and assistance (epidural, subarachnoid)

Learning outcomes
The aim of the professional practice is to prepare the midwife to implement theoretical knowledge for practical management of highly specialized care provided for a child in the intensive care unit of the pediatric department, in whom basic vital functions fail or are at risk of failure, and for a newborn in the neonatal intensive care unit or IMP.
After completing the course, students will be able to work in the intensive care unit of the pediatric department or in the neonatal intensive care unit (JIRP) or IMP.

Assessment methods and criteria
Dialog, Systematic Observation of Student

100% participation in the entire scope of practice 80 hours in pediatric ICU or ARO and 120 hours in neonatal ICU or IMP. Preparation of case reports related to the topic of the given department.
