Obsah předmětu
|
The course consists of a theoretical part, which provides students with the foundational knowledge necessary for practical training. The theoretical component is divided into several thematic blocks: general gynecology, reproduction and sexuality, oncogynecology, urogynecology, perinatology, and fetal medicine. The practical part includes the interpretation of ultrasound findings in gynecology and obstetrics, cardiotocograms, video presentations of surgical procedures, assistance during these procedures, differential diagnosis, participation in multidisciplinary oncogynecology seminars, and hands-on training using ultrasound, laparoscopic, hysteroscopic, and obstetric simulators.

The aim of the course is to provide students with both theoretical and practical knowledge in the prevention, diagnostics, and treatment of diseases of the female reproductive system, care for pregnant women, and childbirth management. Special emphasis is placed on the practical application of this knowledge, particularly in the areas of differential diagnosis, interpretation of basic ultrasound findings, assistance in gynecological surgeries, and the management of physiological childbirth. The course fosters a comprehensive view of a woman as a whole and promotes an empathetic approach to the patient and her family.
Upon completing the course, students should possess theoretical knowledge of the physiological stages of a woman?s life (childhood, reproductive age, postmenopause, and senescence) and their basic pathologies. They should also understand the physiological course of pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period, including related pathological conditions. On a practical level, students should be able to take a comprehensive gynecological history, perform gynecological examinations, conduct basic gynecological ultrasound examinations, and perform basic fetal ultrasound assessments. Additionally, they should be capable of assisting in gynecological surgeries and independently managing physiological childbirth. The course provides essential knowledge that every graduate of a general medicine program should master, serving as a necessary foundation for further postgraduate education in gynecology and obstetrics.
