Obsah předmětu
|
The course consists of a theoretical part, which introduces students to the basic knowledge necessary for practical training. The theoretical part is divided into several thematic blocks ? general gynecology, reproduction and sexuality, oncogynecology, urogynecology, perinatology, and fetal medicine. The practical part includes contact with patients in the clinic, interpretation of ultrasound findings in gynecology and obstetrics, interpretation of cardiotocography recordings, assistance during gynecological procedures, differential diagnosis, hands-on training on ultrasound, laparoscopic, hysteroscopic, and obstetric simulators, and training in neonatal resuscitation.

The aim of the course is to provide students with both theoretical and practical knowledge in the prevention, diagnostics, and treatment of diseases of the female reproductive system, care for pregnant women, and childbirth management. Special emphasis is placed on the practical application of this knowledge, particularly in the areas of differential diagnosis, interpretation of basic ultrasound findings, assistance in gynecological surgeries, and the management of physiological childbirth. The course fosters a comprehensive view of a woman as a whole and promotes an empathetic approach to the patient and her family.
Upon completion of the course, students should possess theoretical knowledge of the pathologies associated with different phases of a woman's life (childhood, reproductive age, postmenopause, senium). They should also understand the pathological course of pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. On a practical level, they should be able to take a comprehensive gynecological history, perform a gynecological examination, conduct basic gynecological ultrasound, and carry out basic fetal ultrasound examinations. Furthermore, they should be capable of assisting in gynecological surgeries, describing the principles of managing a physiological birth, practically perform neonatal resuscitation. The course provides key knowledge that every graduate of the general medicine program should master and serves as an essential foundation for further postgraduate education in the field of gynecology and obstetrics.

Ústní zkouška
Acquisition of theoretical knowledge about the pathologies of the various stages of a woman's life (childhood, reproductive age, postmenopause, senium), as well as the pathological course of pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. Mastery of taking a comprehensive gynecological history, understanding the principles of gynecological examination, interpreting basic gynecological ultrasound examinations, performing basic fetal ultrasound examinations, the ability to assist in gynecological surgeries, and describing the principles of physiological childbirth. The ability to practically resuscitate a newborn.
