Course content
Psychological foundations of counseling. The development of psychological poradenství.Činitelé creating the need for consulting assistance in životě.Základní forms and approaches poradenství.Laické psychological counseling, the importance and functions for professional poradenství.Obsahové orientation and formal characteristics of counseling. Advisory systems and institutions, private consulting služby.Struktura and dynamics advisory process. Personality advisor. Personality of the client. Expectations and motivation of the client, diagnosis and shaping. Factors shaping the counseling relationship, its function in advisory assistance. Advisory systems approach the problem, its analysis. Consultancy work with the client. Information and contract. Counseling skills and techniques. Ethical issues of advisory work.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture, Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)

Learning outcomes
Getting the basic orientation and insight into the development and current status of counseling psychology. Learn to distinguish the basic characteristics of psychological advice from other applied psychological and nepsychological disciplines
- student knows differences between counselling and other types of working with clients (psychotherapy, crisis intervention...) - student knows scientific therms in counselling psychology - student can make contract with client

Assessment methods and criteria
Mark, Seminar Work

Knowledge of the development of advicing, knowledge of basic concepts. Essay from role-playing counselling situation. Oral exam.
