The main content of the course is to work with students' proposals, which serve as a material for demonstration of methodological procedures. Learning outcomes
|
The subject is the follow-up of SOM1. The course is designed as a form of practical exercises, while working in particular with specific research topics of the students. The students continuously present concrete examples and examples from research practice. The main purpose of the seminars is to consolidate the knowledge already gained from the methodology, helps the students to acquire and practice specific skills that can be applied to creating their master works. The course includes both qualitative and quantitative research solutions to problems. If necessary, students are familiar with software analysis tools (ATLAS.ti, NVivo, SPSS, etc.). Form of discussions in the works with possible errors in a specific research plan, propose alternative approaches and possible solutions, the yield monitor data, etc.
The output of the course is to help students to make their own research proposal (about 3 to 5 standard pages of A4). They will practise in writing and describing theoretical background, research objectives, used methodology , the decision of the population and the sample, methods of data acquisition, analysis methods and other specifics. Students will clarify the direction of their research, consider the use of appropriate techniques and then practice in articulating their own research projects, which can then be processed in their thesis.

The student must prepare research proposal of his ppt presentation is also required. These proposals are then evaluated during final graded oral exam.
