Course content
1. Definition of family psychology, goals, perspectives, and areas of application 2. Systems approach to the family, models of family functioning, family functionality 3. Family memory 4. Methodological particularities in family research 5. Principles of family assessment 6. Clinical methods in family assessment 7. Tests in family assessment 8. Theories of family stress and its coping 9. Family resiliency 10. Family crisis 11. Study of different types of parenting and families 12. Transgenerational family psychology

Learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture, Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming)

Learning outcomes
To acquaint students with current approaches in family psychology, research and diagnostic methods. Knowledge of families is an essential prerequisite of effective assistance in family counseling, family therapy and psychological work with families in general. New lectures on family memory and transgenerational family psychology are included.
Competence to see family and work with family from the systems approach point of view, good orientation in family issues.
Prerequisites
Passing Developmental Psychology, Social Psychology, Clinical Psychology.
