Course content
The total scope of the subject is 58 hours, of which 36 are contact hours and 22 are non-contact hours. Definition of the main topics of the subject: -planning of nursing care, determination of care goals, care plans in pediatrics - implementation of nursing care by the nursing team - evaluation of the effect of nursing care in pediatrics - documenting all phases of the nursing process in pediatrics -use of standard nursing terminology

Learning outcomes
The course is designed as a theoretical and practical, follows the nursing theory and assumes the application of knowledge to nursing practice in pediatrics. The content is the nursing process as a method of providing nursing care, the characteristics of the last stages: planning and implementation of pediatric care of the nursing team and evaluation of the effect of this care. The study discipline analyzes these phases of the nursing process, explains thought processes in the implementation of these phases in the clinical conditions of pediatric nursing care, leads students to clinical judgment with emphasis on critical thinking and applies standard nursing terminology in documenting these steps of the nursing process.

Assessment methods and criteria

Active participation in seminars and exercises, 100% attendance at workouts, elaboration and defense of a seminar paper on documenting the nursing process in a child patient. Verification of knowledge.
