GENERAL TOPICS OF CONTACT LENSES IN VIEW OF SOFT CONTACT LENSES History of CL Classification of CL Materials of CL and their characteristics Care of CL Anterior segment and its examination, gradig scales, mathematical description and measurement of curvaturea of cornea Fitting of CO, indications, contraidications, tear lens Working process by CL fitting, aftercare CL complications Influence of drugs and CL KERATOKONUS RIGID CL Materials of rigid contact lenses, RGP Comparison of RGP and soft CL Indications and contraindications of RGP Fittign of RGP Care of RGP Aftercare Concrete exapmles Practical training School optometric laboratory - demonstration, training (small groups - pairs) and consolidation of practical skills in connection with the theoretical topics of the course

The detailed familiarization with the problems of soft and rigid contact lenses including their practical application.
Knowledge and practical skills. Student should: to be able to provide consultancy in the field of contact lenses; to put on and remove soft and RGP contact lens, to fit soft spheric and toric contact lens, provide aftercare
