The aim of the subject is to prepare the optometrists for economical aspects of their future profession. The lessons get the students acquainted with basic administrative work, current professional relationship with health insurance companies, tax evidence, and basic economical definitions for correct management, income tax returns, evidence of assets, outputs, and financial flows. Detailed introduction to the income tax law and social and health insurance laws.
The students should be able to individually carry out all necessary economical activities that are required in order to carry out the profession of a dentist. The necessary part of the profession is the knowledge of ethical issues, ethical codex in health care and ethical bahaviour of medical staff.
