Course content
Within the framework of this course there are various case studies concerning classroom/teaching situations being described on which the students apply the theoretical knowledge from the field of didactics of Dutch as a foreign language.

Learning outcomes
The course "Didactics - Dutch as a Foreign Language 1" is a part of the Life Long Learning Programme for the Teaching Competence organized within the Philosophical Faculty of the Palacký University Olomouc (see detailed information at: http://icv.ff.upol.cz/index.php/ucitelska-zpusobilost/) where it is registered as "Didactics of the (non)diploma subject". Moreover it is interrelated with the course "Teching Practice". The aim is to provide the students of the Master programme with the theoretical basis concerning not only the general didactical questions, but paying also great attention to the audio-lexical approach ff NL leren (Elementary course of Dutch) as this foreign language teaching approach, which is being used within the teaching practice for the first year students of the bachelor programmes of Dutch studies as well as in the courses "Foreign Language - Dutch 1-4". The teaching of the second year students takes place on the background of the communication method Nederlands in actie.
Gaining basic knowledge concerning the didactics of Dutch as a foreign language and with regard to the setting of the teaching practice obtaining the theoretical knowledge concerning the audio-lexical method ff NL leren (Module 1B and Module 2B) as well as the communication method based Nederlands in actie.
Prerequisites
The students are obliged to follow the courses "Psychology for future teachers" and "Pedagogy for future teachers" prior to starting this course (see hhttp://icv.ff.upol.cz/index.php/ucitelska-zpusobilost/) and to prove the sufficient level of their Dutch language skills (min. B2 - CEFR).

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Systematic Observation of Student

Being present at the lessons, active participation in the educational activities, carrying out the homework tasks systematically.
