Course content
In the introductory part of the discipline, attention will be paid to the ways of communication, the main stages of the development of communication of human individuals from the ontological point of view and the biological prerequisites of language acquisition in humans will be mentioned. In the second part of the course the basic theoretical concepts of the process of language acquisition (behaviorist theories, cognitive approach, interactionist approach, nativist approach, processing approach) and the most common neurogenic communication disorders in adults will be presented.

Learning outcomes
The aim is to provide doctoral students with information on the basic topics of this discipline, focusing mainly on the theoretical concepts of language acquisition in the human individual and on disorders in the field of language acquisition, such as aphasia, dysgraphia, dyslexia and others.
The PhD student will gain theoretical information about a field whose research results are now widely used in linguistic disciplines, e.g. cognitive linguistics or semantics.
Prerequisites
If a PhD student wants to pass the exam in Czech, then in addition to knowledge of the selected psycholinguistic topic, knowledge of basic linguistic terms in the Czech language is also a prerequisite for passing the exam. If a PhD student wants to pass the exam in German, then in addition to knowledge of the selected psycholinguistic topic, an active knowledge of the German language at C1 level and knowledge of basic German linguistic terms are prerequisites.

Successful mastery of a selected part of the curriculum according to the doctoral student's interest/focus in the form of an examination, the doctoral student will demonstrate the ability to express himself/herself coherently on the selected psycholinguistic topic and to have a professional dialogue with the teacher.
