Learning outcomes
|
Students become acquainted with basic procedures of literary translation with a focus on the Dutch speaking region. Students learn to work with texts on translation theory on the field of literary translation. Students apply theoretical experience in an analysis of defective literary translations. Students apply theoretical experience in an analysis of correct literary translations. Output of the seminary is skills of competent criticism on literary translation from the Dutch speaking region.

Prerequisites

Knowledge of Dutch on the B2 level ERF. Detailed knowledge of Dutch literature.
