Learning outcomes
EU private international law is part of private international law. The course deals with the rules of European Union law, which belong to private international law and European private law, and their relationship to the national law of EU Member States. The course focuses on the legal regulation of civil and commercial matters with an international element. The focus is on the interpretation of the Rome I Regulation, the Rome II Regulation and the Brussels I and II Regulations and their "bis" transcriptions. European private international law is a branch of the Czech legal system and legal scholarship with a significant invention of public international law and European law, which includes legal norms that are exclusively intended for the regulation of civil, commercial, family and labour law relations with an international element, and legal norms that are intended for the regulation of the procedure of courts and other authorities in civil law proceedings in which an international element is contained.
