Seminar Topics: 1. Introduction to the branch, procedure, literature 2. Incorporation and development of the constitutional models, current constitutional period 3. EU constitutional character 4. Legal families and legal traditions 5. Constitutionality and democracy relation 6. Types and characters of the legan bodies 7. Horizontal separation of powers - government forms 8. Basic laws protection - comparative view 9. Elections and election systems; party-political systems 10. Vertical separation of powers - organizations of an unitary nation, federalism 11. Constitutional justice - comparative view

Learning outcomes
Content of this subject are basics in the comparative law, constitutional models of world democracies and particular aspects and institutions of their operation in the comparative perspective (types and characteristics of the state organs, elections, separation of powers, government form, basic laws protection, constitutional justice ect.). The subject is led in German.
Students who have completed this course will gain the knowledge of different types of world democracies and will be able to assess their pro-and-cons.
Prerequisites
Completion of this course is not conditional upon completion of some other courses.

Mark

It is essential that those students who would like to get the credit must have attendance within the scope set by the seminar teacher and they also must succeed in the spoken exam.
