Course content
1. History of International law. Traditional and contemporary international law. 2. The basic terminology of International law. Characteristics of International law. 3. Sources of International law. International customs. The Law of treaties. 4. Subjects of International law. States, Movements of liberation, cases sui genesis. 5. Diplomatic and consular relations. 6. International organizations, individuals in International law 7. International protection of Human Rights. 8. Legal regime of territory. The Law of sea. The Antarctic, Space law. 9. International responsibility. Principles. Coercion. 10. Judicial settlement of international disputes. 11. The use of force. Aggression. Acts of terrorism. 12. International criminal law.

Learning outcomes
Regarding the dynamic development of Public International Law in the 20th century, the course will deal first with basic terminology, sources, subjects of international law, the concept of international responsibility and coercion. Then, topics will focus on fields where international differs from municipal law: International Organizations, individuals in international law.
Students who have completed this course will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to good understanding of basic institutes of international law, its differences to municipal law and modes of its application.
Prerequisites
Completion of this course is not conditional upon completion of some other courses.
