Learning outcomes
The course will provide students with an overview of International Transport Law. Students will gain basic knowledge of this field of law, as well as the knowledge of respective specific German terminology. The course focuses on issues of international treaties used for different types of traffic depending on the means of transport and their position in the legal system. Discussed will be also typical relationships that arise in international traffic, such as liability, or also the character of the transport documents. The subject innovation has been supported by the project Support of Interdisciplinary studies and Study Programmes Innovations at Palacký University in Olomouc, CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0091.
Students who have completed this course will gain a basic knowledge of International Transport Law and learn the proper use of relevant German terminology, and be able to understand the problems of the law and the basic characteristics of individual modes of transport.
Prerequisites
The completion of this course is not conditioned upon completion of any other courses.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance

In order to pass the course, students must fulfill tasks assigned to them by the course conveyor, participate actively in the classes, and work out a case. Students are required to work with materials available through LMS EDIS.
