The course is based on a long-term cooperation between Palacký University Olomouc, Faculty of Law and Université Clermont d´Auvergne (previously Université d´Auvergne) in the form of a summer school. The Summer School is organised alternately at Palacký University Olomouc, Faculty of Law and at the partner university in France. It is focused on familiarizing the students with legislation of selected legal constructs in the field of public international law. The course is held in English and French languages by visiting specialists, professors of law mainly from the Czech Republic and France. The course aims to enable the students from both institutions to gain detailed knowledge on the legislation of selected legal constructs, their use in view and subsequently to use the gained knowledge when writing their final thesis or other scientific studies. The participation in the Summer School is conditioned upon a good knowledge of English and French. The course is taught in blocks. The themes of individual lectures will be specified ad hoc by the hosting lecturers upon agreement.
Students who have successfully completed the course should have deeper knowledge and skills necessary for right understanding of public international law constructs. They will also increase their language knowledge and skills.
