Learning outcomes
Course objectives (annotation): The course Healthcare Legislation and Ethics introduces students to the basic legislative framework for the provision and operation of healthcare in the Czech Republic and to basic formal and informal ethical standards. The seminars explain ethical principles and basic ethical concepts, introduce pressing issues of modern ethics, as well as the standards and codes used to resolve them. The basic legal regulation relating to the provision and financing of healthcare is discussed.
After completing the course the student should be able to: - Describe the basic legislative framework. - To characterize the formal and informal ethical standards. - To characterize the basic models of health care, health insurance and regulatory mechanisms. - Explain the methods of monitoring the health status of the population and health statistics methods.

Upon completion, the student should be able to: - Characterize ethical norms solve simple ethical questions Describe the basic legislative framework
