Course content
Organization of healthcare. 1. History of healthcare provision and reimbursement in our country. 2. Organization of healthcare in the Czech Republic. 3. Healthcare policy in the Czech Republic and worldwide 4. Public expenditure. 5. Healthcare management models in our country and worldwide. 6. Healthcare systems 7. Health status of the population of the Czech Republic 8. Demography and health 9. Demography and healthcare providers 10. Assets of healthcare providers and sources of their financing 11. Methods of financing and allocation of financial resources in healthcare in the Czech Republic 12. System of healthcare collection, four sources of healthcare financing, characteristics, functions of health insurance companies. 13. Financing of healthcare providers 14. Healthcare legislation

Learning activities and teaching methods

Learning outcomes
In the course, students will gain basic knowledge about the focus, scope of care provided and organization of the most important clinical fields and about the relationship of these individual fields to the complement fields and the demands on the complement fields. Students will thus gain a practical overview of the demands placed on individual fields of laboratory complement in terms of response time, accuracy and correctness of laboratory methods. In individual lectures, typical pathological relationships are clearly discussed and the possibilities and needs of laboratory diagnostics are demonstrated. Clinical staff from individual fields participate in the teaching.
