Course content

Biostatistics. Hypothesis testing. Parametric methods. Non-parametric tests. Categorical data analysis. Chi-square test. Dependency measurement. Principles of linear regression. Measurement of electrical quantities. Recording, transferring and processing of biosignals. Electromagnetic radiation. Fundamentals of electrotechnique. Fundamentals of molecular physics. Nuclear physics. Mechanics of oscillation and waves. Sound propagation. Fundamentals of optics and imaging methods. Demonstration of instrumental technique.

Learning outcomes
|
The goal of the course is to familiarize the students with basic principles of new diagnostic and therapeutic methods and with statistic processing of medical data and complete education useful for medical biophysics tutorials.
