Course content
Attention is given to the most frequent genres in literature for children and youth (fantasy, story with an adolescent hero, horror). Using works of selected authors we will follow their development and contemporary situation, film adaptation of certain works will be used and commented to enable their integration into school literary education.

The specificity of literature for young readers and its genres. Reading habits in young populations. World's most prominent writers for children.
