Course content
Modelling simple vessels by solid mould techniques, from plates, from rolls. Principles of pottery throwing. Drying process monitoring, biscuit firing, glazing. Getting to know the material properties and its usability for various techniques and purposes. Familiarizing with contemporary ceramic production in the form of student's contributions from actual exhibitions, place of residence or occasional visits of significant events. Observing the art periodicals.

Learning outcomes
Practical application of the basic ceramic techniques provided within the obligatory course /modelling and spatial creation/ in the informative-theoretical form. Continuation of the previous work and completion of the programme with the technique of modelling and shaping a vessel or object according to individual choice. / Shaping from plates, casting, pottery throwing, etc./.
Basic knowledge about diferent ceramic materials, clays, glazez and techniques. Ability to transform an idea of simple vessel into original object.

Assessment methods and criteria
Analysis of Creative works (Music, Pictorial,Literary)

Acquiring the necessary technological principles, active communication during consultations, prejudice in favour of demanding and patient work. Observation of system and hygienic rules, work safety instructions. Regular participation in seminars.
