Course content
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the relatively new educational discipline of museum education, and explicate it through the prism of museology and pedagogy. Students will be introduced to the cognitive domain which museum education is. The aim is to integrate museum education in the system of educational sciences, deal with the history of museum education along with its specifics (content and objectives, forms, methods and teaching resources). Furthermore, to present new findings in this field, obtained by surveys, with a particular focus on the issue of cooperation between museums and schools, the issue of the professional profile of museum educators and their position within museum institutions as well as so-called visitors studies. Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming)

Learning outcomes
After completing the course, students should be able to: - Describe the cognitive domain of museum education - Explain the effect of museology and pedagogy on museum education - Clarify the major milestones in the history of museum education - Use the main museum education terms - Explain the specifics of museum education - Clarify the nature and forms of cooperation between museums and schools

Basic knowledge of educational issues, interest in the field.
