Course content
1) Origin and evolution of religion. 2) Tribal religions. 3) Religion of Sumer and Mesopotamian religion. 4) Hinduism. Buddhism, Jainism. 5) Chinese religion. 6) Greek and Roman religion. 7) Religion of the Slavs, Celts and Germans. 8) Judaism. 9) Christianity (Eastern and Western). 10) Reformation. 11) Islam. 12) New Age

Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook)

Learning outcomes
In this course, students will be presented an overview of world religions and specified their role in the contemporary world. After completing the course, students should be able to: " Define basic religionistic terms, " Clarify the historical background and cultural context in the early stages of forming religions, " Explain the essence of each religion, " Characterize typical individual signs and manifestations of religions, " Compare various conceptions of the history of religions, " Critically evaluates information given by today's media on various religions.
Understanding of the principles of hermeneutics.
Prerequisites
General overview on the philosophy and history of man.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam

Within the contact time and within self is a student requires individual study of a given topic from predetermined topics followed by treatment project which the student is required to present and defend for admission to the exam. At the exam the student is required to demonstrate knowledge of the relevant matter collected on contact and teaching of basic and supplementary study literature and legislative resources to study the subject, including the ability to apply to a particular legal situation.
