Course content
Topics: Significant traditions of Czech statehood. Motherland and patriotism. Holidays, symbols and important days. Important personalities of Czech history. Municipality, region, region. School life, pupils' rights and duties, school rules and standards. Importance of student self-government. The importance of education.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming)
  • Preparation for the Exam - 15 hours per semester
  • Attendace - 26 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, students - future teachers of citizenship education and social sciences - will be able to: "orientate in basic terms related to national and national identity, "identify and briefly characterize the most important traditions of Czech statehood, "describe the state symbols of the Czech Republic and explain their historical genesis, "to list public holidays and important days of the Czech Republic and to explain their historical genesis, "analyze and evaluate the importance of education, "explain the importance of active participation of pupils and students in the education process.
