Course content
1. Some world-view and religiously philosophical influences on thinking of early Christianity (Gnosis and Manichaeism). 2. Patristics: Justin, Clement of Alexandria and Origen. 3. The philosophy and theology of Aurelius Augustin. 4. Boethius. 5. Johannes Scottus Eriugena. 6. The philosophy of Anselm of Cantebury. 7. Pierre Abaleard. 8. Albert the Great and Thomas Aquinas. 9.Johannes Duns Scotus and Wiliam of Ockham. 10. Medieval heresy. 11. Nicholas of Cusa.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming)
  • Homework for Teaching - 30 hours per semester

Learning outcomes
Introducing students to basic topics and to representatives of Christian and medieval thinking from Saint Augustine to Late Scholastics.
Compulsory attendance at the seminars. Written assignment (essay).
Prerequisites
