Course content
1. Theological and philosophical opinions of Master Jan Hus. 2. Petr Chelčický, the Unity of the Brethren, Jan Amos Komenský. 3. The philosophy of Bernard Bolzano. 4. The philosophy of Czech Positivism and its representatives. 5. Thinking of Czech Protestantism (J.L. Hromádka etc., B. Kozák). 6. Czech Catholicism. (Dominik Pecka). 7. Emanuel Rádl and T.G. Masaryk. 8. Philosophical and political opinions of E. Beneš. 9. The philosophy of Jan Patočka. 10. Contemporary Czech philosophy.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to attract students to understanding the character of Czech philosophy in the historical context: of religious thought with strong ethical aspect, of realistic thinking oriented to scientific solution of problems. 1.
