Course content
|
The Constitutional law course (Part 1-5) is oriented to the position of constitutional in the system of law, theory of the constitution and the values it is based on, to the legal grounds of the form of the state, legal order and the system of law, relationships between constitutional and international law, constitutional grounds for interpretation of law, legal regulation of the state power and its organization, constitutional relationships between the state and individuals, fundamental rights and freedoms and their protection, and basic doctrines of the Constitutional Court.

Learning outcomes
|
Profound mastering of the Czech constitutional law is preconditioned by a deep knowledge of the theory of state as a general basis. The Constitutional law course is oriented to the position of constitutional in the system of law, theory of the constitution and the values it is based on, to the legal grounds of the form of the state, legal order and the system of law, relationships between constitutional and international law, constitutional grounds for interpretation of law, legal regulation of the state power and its organisation, constitutional relationships between the state and individuals, fundamental rights and freedoms and their protection, and basic doctrines of the Constitutional Court. The students will get acquainted with the methods of scientific work, and verify their capabilities to apply theoretical knowledge from public law branches upon solution of specific issues, as well as critical legal thinking.
