Course content
|
This course, which is a continuation of the Legal History Seminar I. taught in the previous semester, will enable the student to focus in depth on the historical period which is the subject of his/her dissertation. Consultations consist of the analysis of specific historical sources and archival material, in the study of literature and its critical evaluation. The specific output on which the final colloquium will be conducted is determined by the teaching specialist according to the doctoral student's progress in preparing the dissertation and written outputs (e.g. translations of sources).

Learning outcomes
|
The course represents the basic subject of the second pillar of the study programme aimed primarily at developing and deepening the student's knowledge of the Legal History. The essence of the course will be the analysis of the theoretical and practical issues of legal history. Each seminar will have its own topic within which students will prepare their own presentation or analysis of a specific legal problem. The topics will be presented in the seminar and then discussed with other students and with the teachers involved. The course is designed as a two-semester course, with emphasis on selected issues in legal history during each semester. The first semester focuses primarily on a deeper understanding of the general part of legal history beyond the Master's degree. The second semester will then focus on legal history especially with regard to the topics of the student's dissertations.

Completion of this course is conditional upon the completion of the courses Philosophical and Methodological Foundations of Law I., II., Scientific and Pedagogical Propedeutics I., II., Legal History Seminar I.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance
Active participation in seminars, including presentations on the assigned topic. A full-time student must attend 80 % of the seminars. A student of the combined form must attend at least 30 % of the seminars and an individual consultation of two hours. A professional interview over a written document prepared by the student.
