Course content
Getting to know the current state of theological field of hagiography and evaluation of sample models from the history of Christian spirituality.

Learning outcomes
In this course students learn the methodology of the field of spiritual theology hagiography. For model examples serve events from the life of saints personalities in the history of Christian spirituality.
Students will learn to understand the continuity of the Christian experience, understand the complexity and relativity of the historical development of Christian spirituality, will be taken into account mainly realities of the Church of the Czech Lands and Central Europe. Student comes to the ability to form an independent judgment to understand the reverence for saints today, and their importance in shaping contemporary Christianity.

Assessment methods and criteria
Dialog, Written exam

Active participation in class. The final colloquium. Additional studies: Study support to the subject of the e-learning environment EDIS (edis.upol.cz/cmtf)
