1. Describing a person, vocabulary connected to personal appearance, different types of adjectives. 2. Character of a person, substantivized adjectives. 3. Adverbs, gradations of adverbs. 4. Travelling, means of transport, transgressives. 5. Preffered means of transport, declension of pronouns. 6. - 7. Numerals and their declension, conjuctions. 8. - 9. The capital town: Kiev. Particles and interjections. 10. - 11. Specific features of Ukrainian syntax. 12. Revision. 13. Credit test.

Learning outcomes
|
This further course aims to present the students with more difficult grammar, orthography and orthoepia of the present-day Ukrainian. By way of lexical exercises students will acquire new vocabulary and exercise the previously acquired one. We shall deal with various types of exercises such as communicative and stylistic exercises which should teach the students to work individually with the language. The content of the seminars includes also reading other texts dealing with the discussed topics, as students can derive new vocabulary from them. We shall cover the 14th - 19th lesson from the textbook Ukrajinština vážně i vesele.
Students will reach the A2 level of the European Framework of Reference for Languages. They will learn how to read, write and pronounce correctly as well as talk about various topics.

Prerequisites
|
The wish to study the Ukrainian language, knowledge of Czech of at least C1 level of the European Framework of Reference for Languages.

* Attendance, max. 2 absences * Doing the assigned homework, active participation in conversation * Talking about selected texts and topics (to be specified during the course) * Knowledge of basic orthography
