Course content
Translation approaches are learned through working with specific texts from the fields of journalism, economics, and tourism. Active command of vocabulary and typological differences between Czech and Polish is expected.

Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Group work
Learning outcomes
Exercises are focussed on the forming of the skills of being able to analyze a text, understand its specifics and adequately transfer its content from the original to the target language and vice versa.

Prerequisites
Ability to work with specialized texts in Polish and Czech. Good knowledge of Polish and Czech.

Assessment methods and criteria
Analysis of linguistic, Final project

- Active participation in seminars with a maximum of two absences per semester; - Completion of all translations for feedback; - Submission of a final portfolio of translations.
