Learning outcomes
|
The discipline is of a propaedeutic character. It introduces the basic terminology of the sociologic discourse, the main developmental streams of the sociologic thinking and provides the basic information on empirical research in sociology. The discipline is a prerequisite of the General Sociology course.
The students will become familiar with the basic questions that sociology deals with. They will learn basic answers and their justification. They will be able to assess the difference between a common sense and sociological thinking.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral exam
Students have to pass an oral examination. They must demonstrate knowledge of the basic questions that sociology puts and in principle justify the answers to them.
