Learning outcomes
|
The discipline is concerned with the analysis of human action in the context of social groups and the possibilities of its investigation (mainly field research), insights into human action through society, social system and social structure. The discipline familiarizes the student with various basic social issues such as social distinction, forms of capital, gender roles, issues of poverty, education, or the state, etc. Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to clarify the form of social structure and interpret basic aspects of social life, be able to apply basic terminology, and be able to propose basic ways of examining the social life of groups with respect to selected topics.
