Course content
1. Specifics of anthropological research. Qualitative and quantitative approaches. 2. Methods and techniques of quantitative research: types, their characteristics and comparison. 3. Questionnaire and quantitative research. Interview in and quantitative research. Comparison o questionnaire and interview in the domains of gnoseology, organisational, technical and economic domains. 4. Observation in quantitative research. Study of documents in quantitative research. Experiment: definition, its significance, limits and potentials. 5. Sample survey and complete coverage: their principles, advantages and weaknesses. 6. Historical roots and basic types of qualitative research. 7. Ethical aspects of anthropological research. 8. Planning qualitative research. 9. Interview, focus group and participant observation: characteristics, types and applicability. 10. Data analysis (grounded theories, etc.): characteristics, coding and theory planning.
