Learning outcomes
The course aims to introduce students to oral history as a modern, evolving discipline, which is located on the border between the humanities and social sciences. Emphasis will be placed on research methodology, and implemented in relation to domestic and foreign projects. Students under the guidance of the teacher practiced the different phases of qualitative research: selection of the topic, group of persons suitable for interviews, transcribing interviews, and implementation, coding and analysis of data obtained. A partial view of the course is to implement oral-historical research of regional identities in borderland as a result of post-war resettled in these areas.
After successful completion of the course student will be able to demonstrate basic knowledge of the discipline of oral history; clarify principles of oral-historical research; explain the specifics of oral-historical research; describe the individual steps of research, including ethical context; plan and implement their own research, analyze the results of hisown research.
