Course content
1. Formal requirements for text. 2. The theme of the work. 3. Formulating objectives of the work. 4. Research questions 5. Strategy of academic writing. 6. The choice of methodology. 7. Ethical dilemmas. 8. Working with literature.

Learning outcomes
Thesis Seminar is aimed at creating a consolidation of the knowledge and skills necessary for writing larger academic text. Technical knowledge and skills represents primarily the work with literature (works with bibliographic databases, selection of literature references and citations by current standards) and on the structure and design academic text. Specific attention is paid to the selection of the thesis topic, formulating objectives and research questions. In seminars, students develop the skills of argumentation in scientific discussion and presentation skills.
After the course the student will be able to implement and evaluate own field research, to select and justify the choice of the appropriate research methods and techniques, to identify and resolve ethical dilemmas connected with the research, specify and argue theme of bachelor work; work with literature, including bibliographic citations and referencing; specify the goals, object and subject of his/her research project.
Prerequisites
Students of Cultural Anthropology recorded double-subject as a compulsory subject (if you choose a subject for the diploma).

Assessment methods and criteria
Systematic Observation of Student

Active participation in class, fulfilling prescribed tasks, home study of chosen literature and systematic seminar work, regular consultation with the supervisor.
